Registration

How to register
To register for ICMSS09 and and/or its social events please complete the secure on-line registration form. This is the preferred payment option for the conference. Please note that you will need to provide your credit card details to pay and complete your registration.
You can also download and print the pdf file "Registration form" on the right side of this page (to be returned to the Cité Internationale des Congrès).

The registration fee includes *:

Access to all scientific sessions and round tables
Mid-morning and afternoon coffee, cakes and refreshments
Sunday welcome cocktail
Lunches (June 15th to 19th)
Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th evening receptions
Programme and book of abstracts
A copy of the proceedings

The price of registration does not include:

the Wednesday afternoon (June 17th) excursions, the Gala diner on Thursday evening (June 18th), or accommodation.

These items are optional and require separate registration and additional fees.

There is a reduced fee for students provided that they participate in a presentation (oral or poster)
and send an official confirmation of their student status to the conference secretary.
This reduced tariff does not include the events and outings on Monday and Tuesday (15th and 16th June), the excursion on Wednesday afternoon or the Gala dinner. These optional events require separate registration and additional fees.

A daily registration tariff is also available.
All rates for the conference are given in euros (€) (inc. VAT 19,6%).
It should be noted that the registration fees will increase on March 16th 2009 and that registration after June 1st 2009 can only be handled at the registration desk during the conference : see Important dates.

All registrations will be confirmed by email once payment has been received and a receipt will be sent.

When payment is made by bank transfer, please keep with you a copy of the order.

Cancellation
Cancellations or registration modifications should be addressed to the Cité International des Congrès by fax on + 33 (0)2 51 88 22 91.
- Cancellation before 1st May 2009: reimbursement of the sum paid, less 120 Euros for the cost of processing
- Cancellation after 1st May 2009: no reimbursement except in the case of justified medical reasons

Refunds will be made after the conference.

Only cancellations received by mail or fax 10 days prior to the arrival date will allow a refund of the hotel deposit minus 10 euros per room for administrative costs.

Insurance
Conference delegates are advised to take out travel insurance to cover medical expenses, accidents, lost or stolen items, etc. The conference organisers disclaim all responsibility.

Passports and Visas
All foreign visitors entering France (apart from EC residents, who must have their identity cards) must have valid passports. Participants requiring visas should apply to the French embassy, consulate or diplomatic mission available in their country. Visa requirements may vary between countries. Please check with your travel agent when making arrangements to travel to France.

Internet access
The Cité Internationale de Congrès is equipped for Wifi to offer you broadband internet access.
Your computer must be equipped with a Wifi card.

Badges
Participants will only be able to enter the conference buildings if wearing their conference badges.
Attendees are also expected to have their badges attached during all scientific and social activities.

Attendance Certificates
When needed, attendance certificates can be issued to registered participants at the registration desk.

Currency exchanges/ Banking
Banks are open from Monday to Friday between 09:00-17:00. A few banks are also open on Saturday morning.

Climate
June is the beginning of summer in France. The average temperature in Nantes in June is 20-22°C (unless a heatwave occurs!)
Electricity
Electricity in France is 220 V AC.

Shopping
Most shops are open from Monday to Saturday 9:00 to 19:00.

Nantes, a city within easy reach - Travelling to Nantes

By air :

Paris is 1 hour away with 4 daily flights toward 60 different national and international destinations Regular direct flights to London, Milan, Geneva, Madrid, Nottingham, Shannon, Casablanca and connections to all European capital cities in less than 2 hours.
The Tan Air shuttles take 15 minutes to go between the Cité Internationale des Congrès (Nantes international convention centre) and Nantes international airport at regular times.

By rail :

21 high-speed trains every day with Nantes only 2 hours from Paris (departure from Paris-Montparnasse Station, every half-hour at peak times).
2 direct train services daily to the Paris international airport: Roissy-Charles de Gaulle.
The TGV station is located close to the Cité Internationale des Congrès (5 minutes’ walk)

By road :

Highways from Paris and Bordeaux and dual carriageways from Brest, Rennes and Poitiers bring travellers onto the longest ring road in France.

In 2005, Nantes was awarded the first prize for the European Mobility week as a result of an innovative city travel investment programme.

On reaching the Cité Internationale des Congrès, the “Jules Verne” underground car park (part of the centre) offers easy access and 500 places.
